Ukraine
A conflict with no end in sight
Families in Ukraine urgently need your support
Why Ukraine?
More than three years into the war, millions of families in Ukraine are still struggling to survive. The situation remains dire, with over 12 million people urgently in need of humanitarian assistance in 2026.
Please stand with us as we continue to support families across Ukraine.
The war has caused one of the biggest and fastest growing displacement crises in Europe since World War II.
Missile attacks, displacement, and destroyed infrastructure have turned daily life into a battle for survival. Approximately a third of Ukrainians have been forced to flee their homes – those displaced are sheltering in ruined homes or crowded centres, often without heat, electricity, clean water, hygiene materials or food.
Every day the number of displaced families grows.
The war continues to escalate with no end in sight. In 2025, intensified shelling in front-line regions has forced thousands more to flee. These families are facing impossible choices – stay under attack or abandon everything they’ve ever known.
Despite the danger, ReliefAid’s team is delivering support to those in need. We have been assisting families in Ukraine since the start of the conflict in 2022 – we were fast to respond, delivering aid within a week of the war breaking out.
Today, we continue to deliver vital supplies to families living in hard-to-reach areas where little aid is getting through. These necessities help to keep families alive and offer hope until more permanent solutions can be found.

What are we doing?
Providing emergency home repair materials
Behind each image of a destroyed building lies the lives of families who once called this place home.
Over 1.5 million homes have been destroyed in Ukraine, with countless others severely damaged. These damaged homes will need significant building work to make them habitable and weatherproof again.
As front lines move some families have been able to return home and see first-hand the damage. These families are desperate to return to their homes but, even if they are repairable sourcing the materials needed is difficult.
To support returning families, along with families who have chosen to stay in missile damaged homes, we are distributing home repair kits in the front-line regions of Mykolaiv and Kharkiv.
These include materials to patch broken ceilings, walls, and windows. Ukrainian winters are brutal, temperatures plummet to –5°C. These repairs help make homes weatherproof, preventing further damage and allowing families to stay warm in their own houses.
Families depend on our distributions to stay warm during the winter
Providing hygiene kits
Basic necessities are unobtainable or unaffordable for many families in front line areas. We distribute hygiene kits containing items like toothpaste, detergent, sanitary products, and laundry powder – essentials to help families keep healthy and maintain their dignity.
Delivering food to families cut off by conflict
Frontlines move and people living in places impacted by the worst of the fighting can be left unable to get food. As soon as ReliefAid has been able to access to these besieged areas, we have delivered emergency food packs to families.
Each pack contains fresh and shelf-stable food, infant formula, and the nutritional basics designed to support families until further food supplies can be obtained.
Providing medical support
Our work in Ukraine includes distributing medical supplies and medicines to family clinics situated in front line areas. Providing them with the vital supplies needed to assist people with their immediate and chronic medical needs.

Taking care of children – camps and cancer support
War has robbed Ukraine’s children of their childhoods. Some two thirds of children have been displaced, and many live with trauma and uncertainty. Children who live, or previously lived, in frontline areas have suffered the most.
To provide these children with respite from their current situation, ReliefAid sponsors children’s camps that offer respite and psychological support.
Some children face not only the trauma of war, but also the trauma of cancer. We recognise the heartbreaking difficulties families facing in these circumstances and supports childrens cancer care in Ukraine.
